wor_d

everything is reduced to crap. i hope this building burns down to the ground.
not this building. that building.
but we could always save the library from burning because a private school library beats the public ones (in all aspects minus resources).

i must be in the middle of a world war.

we don't go to school. school comes to us.

marvel at the power of attraction.

and, schoolkids don't receive education. education receives schoolkids.

i'm a full-time mugger, but i skive.

"English Rose"

1.dunman high school has a twitter account :O :O :O :O :O it has 15 followers!
2.
"You need coolin', baby, I'm not foolin'
I'm gonna send ya back to schoolin'
Way down inside, honey, you need it
I'm gonna give you my love"

3. im gonna send ya back to skoooooooolin'
4. twitz. xzxzxzxzxzxzxz.
5. i think my timetable will make a very nice desktop wallpaper (cough). maybe i'll highlight the biology periods 'cause it make me happy, and i'm that evil.
6. do you think dhs will set up a blog, or a livejournal community? (because that's trying too hard...)
7. i mean, trying too hard to be hip. sorry, infocomm clubbers. dhs, after all, is a school. and when i think of schools, i think of buildings, and i simply can't understand how a building can have its own twitter account...
8. 'cause buildings don't have twitter accounts. (period. finally, after all the ellispes.)
9. i hate going to school, in the morning, via public transport. i pity the kids who need to do that almost everyday for ten consecutive weeks. we should set aside a day for these people.
10. i, really, really, think of the school building, when people mention dunman high (they always neglect the last word of the name)

11. How do you fake a fever?

BILLIE JEAN

projectplaylist is crashing on me.
but i'm listening to MJ now haha. i bet this weekend radios are playing MJ and everyone starts to listen to MJ.
but Billie Jean...is being engraved into my mind haha.
Billie Jean is not my lover (she is just a girl)

reminds me of the MJ night on american idol 8. -.-

10:27 PM

same old things!

"In my opinion, i finished trig ws already, and since its my worksheet, my opinion is the only one that matters."
DYA. [cause it'll be so boring without arguments]

ITS MATTHEW LEWIS'S BIRTHDAY TODAY, HE TURNS 20.
AND SIX DAYS AGO IT WAS KRIS ALLEN'S BIRTHDAY, HE TURNED 24. (i missed out on his birthday :/)

sometimes! and only sometimes! i feel so demoralised because there are people my age who already broke world records and represented their country and hit the red carpet, and all i'm doing is sitting in front of this computer and lamenting about how it is.
but of course!, on other times, i sit down and marvel.

whoo my punctuations are getting wheezy.
(?!) what was i rambling on about!

will:
1. not be so fanatic about the new HP movie. David Yates decided to cut the final epic battle and funeral (wth?!?!?!?!?!). he wants to avoid the repetition of the epic battle later on in final (two) movies.
i was wanting some good fight choreography/fight scenes!
did you like HP5, the movie? it was directed by Yates as well.
(it was really too short a movie for too long a story.)

2. (try) to do my homework*. (now) i'm slacking off in the middle of finishing one chemistry worksheet. i really want to ditch the chemistry reflection writing. had spent (wasted) quite some time thinking of witty phrases to express my desire to not do any reflection on my article regarding wine chemistry research (of all articles to choose).

*includes a ministerial report for DHS Mock UN Conference.
Why must i also be pulled into this ruckus of misery??
(answer: dont know. its a rhetoric.)

3. stop complaining, for as long as possible.

bytheway, will the government extend holidays?

8:58 PM

hey :D
i just watched traliers from Half Blood Prince. I SHALL BE PREPARED TO BUY TWO TICKETS WHEN THE SHOW IS RELEASED HAHAHA.

i was walking w church people to carl's jr at marina square (i realised i've never been to the basement of m.square before) and we walked past the huge theatrical promo posters (and wallpaper, haha) feat. the cast of half blood prince.
i'll be watching out for rupert grint and tom felton (: and emma watson (: (:

well, i don't think i'll be watching I Love You, Man , anyway. and i don't think i'll be watching Public Enemies either.

random: i like DESIGUAL. who else, too???? :D

ANONYMOUS POSTCARDS

if you have the time, or if you want to slack, please entertain yourself with anonymous postcards.

"Changing the world with a roll of stamps and whatever we find in the neighbor's
recycling bin
Anonymous Postcard is a suggestion box for the world, designed
to allow anyone to openly communicate to a third party without the complications
of personal contact. Claims submitted by the public are turned into
vague and largely indecipherable postcards and mailed toward appropriate
recipients
."

this could be my third or fourth post for today, and its about my discovery that humans can be divided into white and red meat, according to your muscle type.

in short, 'white' muscle fibers are those kinds which are predominant in bodybuilders and sprinters (i.e. the strength type, the fast type, the bulky type) , but 'red' muscle fibers are predominant in marathon runners (the endurance type).

its just a discovery -.- sounds like a load of tosh though.

its time i gave my red muscle fibers a real workout.

i'm still slacking off on my homework -.-

11:28 PM

fretting; not the guitar term.

good thing: my dad got HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS on blu-ray. whoooo! and he got painted skin too, but i already watched (half of) that.

i realised i really like watching these kind of tang dynasty-esque movies. oh, the drama, and the fighting :D

bad thing: while watching, my mum complained about my size -.- so maybe i need to find a way to lose the bulk/fat/mass/whatever its name is (rolls eyes)
the funny thing is, she told me to run. hello, trainings (and my conscience) landed me into this staaaaaa~te (singsong tone).

oh, the irony of it all.

---
bah. i'll try my best to exercise okay? (actually i haven't been doing so recently -.-) i can't juggle education needs, leisure, mental welfare, emotional welfare, and physical welfare that efficiently, geddit? (starts atrributing terrible sense of time to the Perceiving result i got from MBTI)

while i fret over my body size, i shall comfort myself with the quote i've always been comforting myself with.

"Punctuality is the virtue of the bored."

10:14 PM

Magnificent.

i want to catch (500) DAYS OF SUMMER too. this sucks. these movies are going to be released during the pre-EOY mugging season (guestimate) , and they are (most likely to be) the ones i would actually pay to watch at the cinemas.

i mean, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2 was a disaster. (i didn't watch night at the museum 1, btw)
no offence. (heck, who'd read this?!)

i can hear peiying calling me 'killjoy'.
---
i'm totally slacking off on the mock UN ministerial report thing. (frowns)
---
a pointless, less-than-hundred-words drabble (since i've already wasted about 3 hours of year 2009, i might as well waste a few more minutes):

The reluctant student finishes her education, and landed a job, to become part of listless workingclass.
As she sips her daily coffee, she envisions a spacious, carpeted, well air-conditioned office overlooking the city. A private pantry would be an added bonus, so she need not share the coffee-making machine with anyone else.
---
so, what did you think of it (the drabble)? was it an embarrassment?
(i think its immature. ugh.)
(sometimes) i think it's ridiculous, how Southeast Asians manage to speak English. (is it because these keyboards type english alphabets?)

HELLO.
NOW, WHO WANTS TO WATCH:

I LOVE YOU, MAN.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

(downside: it's NC 16. hope i can somehow make my way into the theatre. argh)

11:24 PM

i'm really really old.

WHO THINKS THAT 'PART TIME LOVER' AND 'ALMOST LOVER' SOUND THE SAME?
well, obviously the titles are similar, but the song! i'm talking about the melody here baby!

well. i like both :D
and i like Giraud's cover of PART TIME LOVER hahahaha.
(yes, another american idol guy -.-)

back to basics

people change, so if we meet on the streets..._________.
what would happen if our paths cross twice?
---
hi. i was actually present for a primary school class gathering.
that's so uncool. it's already an uncool statement.
but but but.
---
hi. i don't talk to my family, i talk more to my friends, and i talk less to strangers. when i was young i was told:
1. dont talk to strangers/dont wander too far off.
2. dont make friends with bad people/dont give in to peer pressure.
3. eat your veg/sleep early.

and all that really simple stuff. about nine years down the road, here i am today. i've done the things i was told not to do, i've done the things i was told to do, i've done some of the things i said i would never do, and i continue to avoid doing things i said i would never do. and if you were wondering what i said i would never do, but still did, it was to eat marshmallows, yoghurt, and my greens. (i still dislike marshmallows.)

back to basics. been there, done that, so now: come back. for a moment.
that's what i'm doing now ;)

(what an unsexy quote.)
---
hi. all in all, i hate school. never felt it this strong before. i like learning/education. at least i stand a chance of getting a job which i'm really enthusiastic about.

so last night i was thinking! lets skip the whole, what kind of tertiary education shall i have question. maybe i won't go university straightaway. maybe i'll work for a year or two. my monthly salary can 1. be donated/tithe, 2. be given to parents (its a rite of passage, i would assume), 3. to save up for university. maybe my parents can pay half of my university bills, and after i've raised up the rest, i'll take a university course. could be in singapore, or UK, or japan, or any other country. if i intend to go to a land where i don't speak their native tongue, i'll learn their language during the time i'm working. or something. while i work, i can also sign up for other courses, like artsyfartsy kinds, or sportyfreaky kinds. or cooking. (tsk tsk, i need to learn some survivin' tricks)
but i have to say, that such a life may be quite idle.

anything goes, yknow? i can be a poor old soul, living in a rented studio apartment, or a budget hostel, or a caravan (the equivalent of a caravan in singapore would be a tent in ECP). well, as long i can live comfortably. who knows, i can be a busker on the street next time. (very artsyfartsy, i know.) i can be a hippie doing marijuana, and smoking those long pipes grandpa has. whoohoo. (smoking, and taking drugs, were activities i said i wouldn't do when i was young. still going on strong)
---
hi. playgrounds were our world, now, our world is our playground. here i leave you an unsexy quote of the day. it sounds like those kind of quotes my teachers say (in their best effort to inspire you) without effect. i personally think these quotes sound deflated. i dont know what i'm saying, but i'll describe their quotes as deflated. so ahem ahem, this is directed at the teachers in school who do that.

well, i guess if one doesn't get the message, then the quote would be forgotten. well, this makes it difficult for anyone who wants to put up an original quote onto thinkexist.com or something.
---
hi. my laptop is having a huge problem. the cursor is always drawn to the start button, and it's very difficult to move it out from its comfort zone. and it's giving me problems because whenever this happens, i can't type properly.
dammit it's happening again, someone help me, and please take note of this, and really i need help, and i hate being so reliant of machines. (thinks of Terminator)

ROCK AND ROLL AND BLUE EYED SOUL

i'm listening to Stairway in Heaven and its making me...wooz. haha. whatever does 'wooz' means anyway.
yep i've been checking out really old old bands today (Stairway to Heaven, is by Led Zeppelin) haha.

i've been itching to listen to Pink Floyd and the Beatles too lol. cause ummm, Converse had this Pink Floyd HI TOP CHUCK TAYLORS!!! almost bought it haha. in the end i settled for the product (RED) hi top. it's by this japanese born guy, who is currently living in Vancouver. or something. haha.

I LIKE CONVERSE CHUCK TAYLORS EVEN THOUGH I CONSIDER THEM THE EPITOME OF COMMERCIALISM (but hey, if you wear them for years, its worth the price).
i'll gladly buy them again (: maybe even when i'm 40, who knows? :D

this fall, kradison is going to release albums.

TIMEISIMPTSODOWHATYOUGOTTADO!

YOU KNOW WHAT, RENE DESCARTES AND PYTHAGORAS AND MARIE CURIE (AND ALL THE MAD SCIENTISTS AND MATHEMATICIANS OF HISTORY)??????
YOU GIVE MY LIFE HELL. TIME MAGAZINE MAY NOT HAVE PUT YOU INTO THE TOP-100-WHO-INFLUENCED-THE-WORLD LIST, BUT BECAUSE OF YOU, I (AND MANY MORE) HAVE TO BE TORTURED WITH MATH HOMEWORK (which i might as well not do anyway, its not going to help me to count change from the cashier) AND MORE CHEMISTRY HOMEWORK IN ADDITION TO CHINESE AND REFLECTIONS ON TIME MAGAZINE'S ARTICLES.

i mentioned the TIME list of the 100 world's most influential people 2008 (aka TIME100) in my post since i'm really really really astounded by the fact that ZAC EFRON is in it. its incredulous. he's one of the world's most influential?! how has he influenced me; laugh out loud.
---
i learn math for my own good. remember that. and remember that i am lucky enough to have an education. think about kids in africa (MAN, I KNOW I KNOW. WE'RE MAKING THEM SUFFER BY INCREASING FOOD PRICES ALREADY, SO DON'T LECTURE ME).
many a time i want to throw half of my dinner away to africa. yknow the hungry actually need not be hungry? there's actually enough food for the whole planet.
why do i go to church if i don't do anything about myself today?

would there be anything which would make a decent wedding gift?
i'm damn scared, 'cause the other party may not like it.

anyway, there's still homework to chiong, and the Etiquette drama, and band concert. that's for this week only.

i'm starting to listen to ronan keating under rachel's influence. lol.
